Out of FUEL!

Disaster, I was on my way back after undermining in ALD's territory when I was nearly out of fuel. I popped into the Galactic map to check that the next system had a station in it but must have clicked on the one behind...I opened up the system map and saw several stations so jumped.

Oh dear.

The system had nothing in it and I had to put out a broadcast on the Federal Escort Channel.

As you can see SlurmzMckenz came to the rescue.

We formed a wing (as I am friends that was easy) and he went & picked up his ASP with Fuel Limpets etc and tracked me down.

I had turned off all non-essential modules and dropped out of Super Cruise to save fuel.

When he arrived he use the fire group to launch the limpets - we both had our cargo hatches open. Not sure that was essential but probably.

First Mining Mission I've seen

Saw this mission in Elli with loads of others mainly for Platinum & Painite others - Mining looking like it could make some money although Painite is Extremely rare so it might be an impossible task!!!

I tried a different load out with:
3C Gimballed Beam Laser
3C Gimballed Beam Laser
3C Gimballed Cannon
2F Gimballed Multicannon
2F Fixed Pulse Disruptor (Winters supporters only)

It didn't work well. A didn't strip off the shields nearly as quickly and therefore took much longer to kill even NPCs.

I have gone back to:
3C Gimballed Beam Laser
3C Gimballed Beam Laser
3C Gimballed Beam Laser
2F Gimballed Multicannon
2F Fixed Pulse Disruptor

and it is working much better. As a side not I think the pulse disruptor needs to target the sub-modules in order to have an effect. I haven't yet witnessed any noticeable effect so I may switch back to 2F multi cannon.

The Empire is hanging around Rhea

Seems like the Empire is getting cocky, and Denton Patreus' CMDR Daryionn and 4 wing mates were hanging around ITO Orbital in Rhea ( Felicia Winters' Capital).

You can see from my docking screenshot though that it was an expensive visit - he jumped out at around 15%...

Note the other 3 commanders are in "Hollow" boxes (yellow)
